Jerry spoke the truth, always did the right thing and was one of those rare men whom could truly be trusted. I am certain he now reaps the rewards from the seeds he sewed in his life with us and will forever farewell.

Peace be with Jerry's family & friends.

Good Morning to the McGlone Bunch

This is Christy Gray from St. Vincents, I took care of Jerry many time during his great battle. He was a very quiet, funny, strong man. He loved his family with all his heart, he loved to talk about the times with his boys and how he missed his grandbabies. He shined everytime he talked of his loving wife.

My prays and wishes go out to all during this difficulty time. He is now an angel and twinkling star looking down over your family. May he rest in peace.

Christy

Jerry McGlone

Jerry will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and friend to the countless number of people whose life he touched.

Jerry was born on November 14, 1951, to James and Clarice McGlone in Billings, Montana. He left this world due to complications from a rare Leukemia. We all feel so blessed to have been a part of his life and witness to the good fight that he fought to the end. He was one of the good ones that gave it his best. The recent birth of his 2 grandsons was deemed his best medicine.

Jerry had a countless number of hobbies but none meant more to him then to be with his wife and sons, which often times led to his many friends. He loved tinkering in his garage, but on Sunday afternoon, he was all consumed with a NASCAR race. American Legion and college baseball in his formative years, boating, camping, hunting, fishing, and cars kept him busy and he would often mention that he would have to find time to "work".

Jerry worked for 10 years for the local IBEW as an electrician and the past 24 years as a master electrician at the Billings Conoco Phillips refinery. He was proud of the fact his father was one of the original "49ers" when the refinery opened in Billings in 1949. He belonged to the Emergency Response Team, for which he took much pride. He was all business.

Words cannot describe his positive outlook on life, which he unselfishly shared with his wife, sons, family members and many close friends and acquaintances. He was so proud to welcome his daughter in-laws into the family and the bright spot of his last days were the birth of his two grandsons whom he adored. His "let me do it" attitude was respected in the fact that it would be done right. It may have taken a little longer than most, but it would not fail. He always had a smile and a hearty handshake.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Deloma of 34 years, son Justin and his wife Meri, grandson Jacob, son Kyle and his wife Jen, and grandson Rowan, mother Clarice McGlone, sister Linda Clausing, half sister Peggy Franklin, half brother Dean Cornelison, in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss Uncle Jerry. His father James McGlone preceded him in death.

His journey during his short illness brought wonderful people into our lives. Words cannot express our gratitude felt for Dr. David Christiansen and his wonderful caring staff at Hematology Oncology, and the kind, caring, giving angels at St. Vincent's 3rd floor that nursed him in his last days and became close friends. We will never forget the overwhelming support and generosity of his co-workers, family, and faithful friends who never left his side.

We are thankful for the time we had with him, his faith in God, and knowing that he is in the Lord's hands. We are heartbroken to say goodbye, but have faith that we will meet again. We love you "Pops". Sweetheart, save a dance for me.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, May 31,2008 at Hope Methodist Church located at 244 Wicks Lane, interment to follow at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park. Donations to Relay for Life would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Please send donations to KPMG, Attn: Carol Bergquist/Relay for Life, 175 North 27" St, Suite 1001, Billings, MT 59101.

I am going to have to refer to Jerry as Cheeks since that is my memory of him. We lost touch over the years with distance and the need to spend time focusing on our families. I will always remember as kids the Conoco picnics, grade school and high school. In college the time spent at the Tavern on Grand Avenue playing hours of foosball. The weekend road trips through Yellowstone park. All good memories. I know that Cheeks touched the lives of everyone he met. His family is very fortunate for the time they had with him as are all his friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Cheeks maybe will get in another game of foosball some day

It was my pleasure to work with Jerry for most of the past 20 years. He was a person of integrity, and compassion. Always willing to question, but seldom argue. Anxious to learn, and glad to teach. He taught me a few things….
