Kelly Papka

1913-2008

Remembrances

So many things I'd like to say but I don't know where to start. He was a great roll model for all of us. I wish I could have spent more time with him and had him tell more stories about his life. I will miss him and remember him the rest of my life. Love always your grand daughter, Christy

There are so many things that I remember about Grandpa. One thing is he loved to build things for his family. The one most special thing he built for me was my desk for graduating High School. I will always cherish the Special times we spent with him and Grandma doing family things (camping & Christmas') I will always remember you Grandpa!!

Love Always Your Granddaughter, Kelly

Very sorry for your loss, Ellen. Bill LaMeres

My family met Kelly through our dad, Louis Sticka, and enjoyed seeing Mr. Papka even after dad died in 1995. Sometimes Kelly would stop in to see us at American Glass, and we all would stop working just to chat with him. He was a great guy and we had a lot of respect for him in his profession, he and our dad were the "last of their kind" as expert tradesmen. We know if we went on a job that Kelly worked on everything would be perfect for us!

Kelly was a great guy and will always remembered by the Sticka Boys as one of the best!

Our prayers are with your family at this time-- --Dennis and the entire Sticka family

Ellen & Family,

When I saw the picture it reminded me of seeing him when we were kids and thinking he was so handsome. My prayers are with you all. God's comfort and blessings now and forever.

Ellen--I am very, very sorry you have lost your father.

Yours--Darrah Link Plank

My great grandpa and I shared so many memories with each other. We spent pretty much everyday with each other and we always spent time in that garage of his working on stuff. He was such a great grandfather. we were so close. I knew exactly what he did or was doing everyday because i was the witness there at that very moment. He was my grandpa and nobody could ever take him away from me. He meant the world to me. When he got really sick and he was living at the nursing home i couldn't handle seeing him the way he was. i mean that was my grandpa that was dying slowly in front of my eyes. It hurt so bad when i went to see him at the nursing home. I cried every time. no matter what the last time i saw him that was the most ive cried in along time. he stared at me gripping onto my hand crying along with me. I tried to be comforting and be like it's ok grandpa but i couldn't he meant the world to me but he had to leave. He was hurting so bad. All i wanted to say was "I love u grand!

pa" which i did that night i left him. Along with a kiss on the forehead and a tight squeeze good bye and left him that night. I loved that man and he will always be in my heart.

Love Always,

His loving Great Granddaughter

Brooke Lewis

I remember Kelly as one of my favorite and nicest uncles. He always seemed to be considerate of us. Raymond E. Papka
