Brandon's family, I just have to tell you the sweetest story. When Brandon was in pre-school with Mrs. Maristuen, I was her aide. They called me Stephie. We were so lucky to have this wonderful, happy little boy. I hadn't decided to go back to school yet full time, and I was out at a public store with a group of teachers. I was intimidated to be around this group of well educated women. They saw Brandon and remarked what a darling little boy he was. Brandon saw me, completely brightened up, and hollered, "Hi Stephie!" Those women looked at me in a different way after that. I actually felt like I had made a difference, but now that I think of it, he was the one who made a difference. I have been teaching for 14 years now. Isn't it wonderful such a little guy made such a difference in so many people's lives. I hope you all heal in your own time or way. Tragically and with great sorrow, we have lost our beloved son, brother, grandson, and cousin, Brandon.  Brandon Keith Myers, age 21 of Billings, was taken from his family and friends on Monday, June 16,2008.

He will be remembered as the guy with a big heart.  Born in Havre, Montana on March 18, 1987, Brandon was the first of three children born to Keith Myers of Billings and Diane Raisland Myers of Big Timber.

Brandon began his education in Havre, MT and graduated from Skyview in Billings in 2007. After graduation, he worked full time at Walmart in the Heights.

Brandon loved hunting, fishing, the Green Bay Packer’s and spending time at the cabin with his family. He could be found hanging out with his cousins or his friends from Walmart..  Brandon had a heart of gold and wanted to please everyone.  He enjoyed life to the fullest.

Brandon was confirmed in the Missouri Synod and a member of the Westend Lutheran Mission Church in Elder Grove.

He will best be remembered as being a caring and giving person by those closest to him. Brandon always had a smile especially for those that needed cheering up.

Brandon is survived by his father Keith Myers of Billings; his mother Diane Raisland Myers of Big Timber; sisters Kristina Myers and Da`Lene Myers of Big Timber; Grandfather Ben Raisland of Big Timber; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his Wal-Mart family.

He is preceded in death by Grandparents Willis and Louise Myers (Havre), Edna Raisland (Big Timber) and cousin Tyrel Raisland (St. Ignatius).

Viewing will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Friday, June 20, 2008 at Michelotti-Sawyers, 1001 Alderson Avenue in Billings. Cremation will follow the viewing.  Memorial Services will be at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, June 21,2008 at Trinity Lutheran, 537 Grand Avenue.

Memorials may be made to any hunting or fishing organization.

I was truly saddened to hear about Brandon's passing. He was a really neat kid. When I worked at Havre Optometric Clinic he came in to get his glasses adjusted one day. He sat down in the chair and was smiling at me. I proceeded to adjust his glasses and noticed that he kept smiling. I noticed how crooked and horrible his teeth looked. I kept thinking to myself that his parents had gotten him these nice titanium flexon frames and why didn't they get his teeth fixed? I finished adjusting his glasses and he kept smiling and reached his hand up to his mouth and pulled out a set of fake teeth. We really had a laugh over the prank he pulled. I then found out that his family had a group picture taken and they all were wearing fake teeth for the picture. He was always so friendly & kind. Brandon made an impression on me the first time I met him and will never forget the sweet little boy that came in frequently to get his glasses adjusted and became a friend. Keith; Diane & Family-

We had the joy of having Brandon on our little league baseball team years ago What a joy he was; I will never forget the smiles & hugs he was truly a special child. In his eyes I was always just “Shane’s mom”. No matter if I was at the school, downtown, or on the baseball field I was I always was greeted with a hug. A special memory I will cherish forever. One time we were playing in Chinook and he decided instead of riding with the team he would just ride home with Shane’s mom. Maybe he knew we would stop and get treats but none the less he always made my day. He chatted all the way home telling me his likes and dislikes; all about his family; school; who he thought was nice and who he thought needed to learn to be nice. You were blessed with a beautiful child who at times for a young child knew more about etiquette and manners than most adults ever learn. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Hold your memories close! and remember that refreshing beautiful smile. I know we will.

Dear Keith and Diane, I am so sorry, to hear of Brandon's death. Peace be with you and the rest of your families.

Sincerely, from Keith's cousin,

Judy Vogel Bryan

I am in total shock when I read of the loss of Brandon in the paper. My heart goes out to all of his family and please know that you all need to lean on each other now for such a loss is hard to bear. But above all, please know that all of you need to put your trust in the Lord as there is nothing else besides family and close friends who can help. I'm sure you all have good memories of Brandon and it's so good to share those at this time and tuck them away in your hearts. Take care and know that I have been thinking of you all.

May the Lord's quiet voice of encouragement speak to you all showing you the way and bring peace.

Best Personal Blessings,

Carol Wavrick and Family

Keith,

Brandon was a loving happy young man. I am going to miss his hugs and smile. I will miss him every day. I looked for him everytime I went to WalMart and when he saw me he would run to give me a hug and he would talk a hundred miles a minute. Going into Walmart and during Tax Season will never be the same. I can see him now eating his cotton candy and asking all of those who are with him would you like some. You are a very loving father and it showed in Brandon. He talked about how much he loved you and spending the time with you. You were his idol. God Bless you for having a son as special as Brandon and sharing him with us. God be with you now and always. As I said before we are here if you need us.

Jim and Sandy

Diane,Kristina, and Da'Lene,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Brandon was a wonderful, loving person and he will be truly missed. May God be with all of you and this time of sorrow.

Dear Keith, Diane, and grieving family,

We at St. Paul Lutheran Church-Havre want you to know how sorry we are for your loss. Since being here as the pastor for not quite two years, I met Brandon only a couple of times when he and Keith would come to visit Louise before she passed away. I have received so many comments of care and concern from the members of the congregation I have long since lost count. Know that our prayers are with you during this time, and even more to the point, that Christ Jesus is with you as He was and is with Brandon. "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (Jesus, from John 11:25-26) God be with you, Pastor Schultz and the members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Havre

Dearest Keith,

Words just cannot express the sorrow that I feel for the the loss of your son. What a wonderful and special young man he was! I keep thinking of a saying shared in a sympathy card sent to me by a friend, when I lost my son . . . "Those who leave us in the springtime of their lives go to a place where springtime is eternal". I hope that it brings you great comfort and peace knowing that he is with our Lord and Savior and will be waiting with those big, warm, and wonderful smiles and hugs, when your time on earth is done. May God hold you and yours tightly in the palm of His mighty hand . . . and give you all peace in the face of this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with you . . . with love and sympathy, Kathy Wagner

Dearest Keith,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. He was my friend and co-worker at the Billings Heights. I'm always going to remember when he flirted with all the girls at Wal-Mart as well as the times where he made everyone smile. His memory will be cherished in my heart forever....with sympathy/thoughts... Andrea Eickmeyer

Keith, you probably don't remember me but I grew up in Fort Benton. Shirley Clark is my aunt. I am sorry to hear about your son. My thoughts are with you and your family. My sister lost her son last march on the roundup road also.
