To Chandler Family We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. May your memories of your loved one help you through this difficult time. Bob & Linda Miars
I didn't get to know my Aunt very well, living so far apart. But the few times I did spend with her and Uncle Datus are treasured memories. I pass on my sincere sympathies and love to her family and friends. Love, A Wisconsin Cousin...Sandy Turner (Aunt Tish's Daughter)
The Central Ward Relief Society sisters were saddened to hear that Eileen had passed away. Each Sunday that she came to church, she brought with her a beautiful smile and a sweet and loving spirit. We will miss her. She was a great blessing in our lives. May the Lord bless you and comfort you in your time of sorrow. Sharon Paris, President Central Ward Relief Society

Mom was born on August 20, 1916 to William and Julia (Jackson) Sanders on her parents ranch in Sweet Grass County, Montana. She attended school at a little country school just east of the ranch and in Greycliff until the passing of her father at which time she and her brother Lee spent a year at the Indian School in Chemawa, Oregon. On their return to Montana they lived in Pryor for a short time before moving to Lodge Grass. Mom hated high school and quit in her 10th year. She knew education was important and was proud as each of us graduated whether from high school or college or completed a GED. Mom and Dad met at a dance in Lodge Grass – she would tell us he kept peeking around a stove at her until he finally got up the nerve to ask her to dance. They married March 5, 1936 at Hardin, Montana. At Dad’s death they had been married 68 years. Together they had four children – Robert, Datus III, Clara, and Richard. Mom never worked outside her home – her most important profession being wife and mother. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, her baby son Datus III, four half brothers, Preston, Lorin, Pete, and Armand Sanders, her two sisters, Lucille Cooke and Betty Eichorn and her husband, Datus. She is survived by her children, Robert, Clara, and Richard (Mary), 13 grandchildren, Bobbi, Darin, Bekki, Greg, Jamie, Diana, Claudia, Corey, Larkin, Sheri, Tracy, Vaschelle and Aljama, 30 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren, her brother Lee and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice or to the charity of one’s choice. Grandma loved the outdoors whether just sitting outside with Grandpa, camping with family and friends, or attending the many years of Tractor & Equipment Company picnics, for which her late husband worked, and daughter continues to work. There are no words to describe the love we felt for her. Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma, Great-Great Grandma, we will truly miss you, and have faith that the pain we feel now will be healed with the happiness and love you have given to all of us. Visitation will be 5-8pm Thursday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral services will be 2pm Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2929 Belevedere Dr., with interment to follow at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park. |

Clara: We have never met and I have never met your mother but
know of her. My Aunt Mary Lay knew your grandmother Julia Jackson and
believe had some pictures of her. My sister-in-law Pat Budge was married to
Alvin Sanders, Julia's step grandson. His father was Lorin Sanders. In fact
I talked to Eldon a few days ago. My Aunt Mary and Grandma Lay provided a
place for The Sanders boys to stay. It certainly is a small world. My Aunt
Mary passed away last July. We will all miss her since she was surrogate
mother to all of us nieces and nephews. We are so sorry for your loss. The
Budge Family in Laurel
We just learned of Eileens death, so sorry for the family. I got to visit
with her the last time I was in Billings and we had a nice chat. Datus and
Eileen and Mom & Dad ( Ione & Theron) were best friends for so many years.
It seems the older we get the fewer friends are left. We will always carry
great memories of all of them and games of pinochle. Judy & Bill Young
