| Remembrances
My husband was a long time union brother of Felix, they worked on traveling jobs together from time to time. Both joining the union about the same time. As he and his son were traveling they stopped at our little ranch one morning to visit Rick and I had the privilege of meeting Felix and making breakfast. I remember lots of laughter and stories from Felix and Rick that morning. As long as we keep the memories alive he is never far away and always in our hearts. Love and Prayers, Rick (Cowboy) and Carol Sebastian
Felix will always be remembered as a genuinely kind soul with a big heart whose laughable sense of humor could brighten any day! His commitment to family was only surpassed by his appreciation for life, especially the addition of his 5 grandchildren to the family. We could even count on a visit from him when each of our children were born! Life is measured by the number of moments that take your breath away, which probably were more than one could count in Felix's short time with us on Earth. Our prayers are with you ALL, especially Mary, Felix & Tenil and Raymond & Alicia. Blessings, Chris, Angie, Riley, Kendall & Tessa Stokes

Felix Belmontez, II, was tragically taken from us on June 12, 2008. He was born on July 6, 1954 in Los Angeles, California to Felix and Juanita Belmontez. Felix grew up in Downey, California and graduated from Warren High School in 1972. He lived and worked in Big Bear, CA for two years before returning to Los Angeles, where he met the love of his life, Mary Arriola. Felix and Mary were married on February 14, 1976 in Huntington Park, CA. They started a family right away and had two sons, Felix III and Raymond. Felix started in the insulation trade as a member of the ship builders union, later becoming a member of the International Association of Insulators and Allied Trades in 1979. He traveled for many years to support his family before settling in Shepherd, Montana in 1992. Felix and Mary embraced the beauty of Montana and then raised their sons in a happy and loving home. Felix's greatest loves were his wife, children, and five grandchildren. He also enjoyed family get-togethers, fishing, and hunting with his boys. In 1996 his son Felix followed in his footsteps and joined Local #82. He taught his son everything he knew including how to come home safe to his family. Felix was always concerned about the safety and well-being of others on the job. Felix was extremely proud of his sons and the wonderful families they have created. Felix truly cherished every moment he spent with his wife and family, especially his five grandchildren, and he will be greatly missed. Felix is survived by his wonderful wife Mary; his children, Felix and Tenil of Roundup, and Ray and Alisha of Shepherd; his grandchildren, Emily, Lilly, Evan, Ryan, and Jonas. He is also survived by his mother Juanita; siblings Rene, Laura, and Corrina; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, especially Michael. He is preceded in death by his father and brother Marcos. Felix will be cremated at Michelotti Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Avenue. A memorial service will be held 11:30 AM, Wednesday, June 18th at the Mortuary. |

Dear Mary I am so sorry for your loss. I never met Felix in person. He called me one day with a lot of questions about pensions and we talked so often on the phone becoming very special friends towards one another over the few years that I knew him. I knew from the very first time I talked with him that he was a very special person and he will always be in my thoughts and prayers. God be with you all. Sincerely, Joey Hentnik aka Dirty White Boy Insulators Local 25 Detroit Michigan
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time of sorrow. Jerry and Diana Achten
Dear Mary, Felix, Ray and family, Tracey and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Felix' sudden passing. Felix was truly a good friend and the world has lost a good man. Not only was he a good friend at work, but also in our personal lives. We have always thought of Felix as family and have many fond memories of him. We loved it when the Belmontez' stopped for a visit or called to catch up. Please know that we mourn with you and you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Brian and Tracey Dorsett

Mary, Ray, Felix and families, So sorry for your loss of your loved one. My memories include the good person that Ray was. My son Ben was a younger friend from high school. Ray reflected the love and guidance that he was raised in. I also remember how generous Mary and Felix were to donate pigs for the senior class to raise funds for the graduation party. Thank you and blessings to you. Susan Quanbeck
Dear Belmontez Family, I was both shocked and deeply saddened upon hearing about Felix's passing. We had worked together many times hear in Colstrip and he was always so fun to visit with. Last year during the night shift outage was when I was able to really get to know Felix. He was truly a kind soul who was very proud of his family, often bringing up his boys and grandchildren during conversations to express how proud he was. He will truly be missed by many. You and yours are in our prayers. Sincerely, Jon Currier Jr
Dear Belmontez Family, I just want to say I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Felix and I only knew each other for a short time while working out in Reno, NV, but during the time we were together I never met a better friend and union member. I really looked up to Felix and he taught me alot. I am so grateful to have known him. Ur family is in my prayers. If I know Felix he probally has all the angels in heaven smiling like he did all of us everyday. Beau Smith
My brother Felix, what can I say but that he truly was a good brother, a good son and most of all a friend to all, as I can see from the messages left here. I will miss him terribly, but the hope I have in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, gives me assurance that I will be with him again, soon. Mary, thank you for loving my brother and staying true to him throughout the years. Felix and Raymond, you are good boys because of what my brother was to you, a good father, and a good friend. Alicia and Tenile, you meant so much to Felix, as I saw in the way he spoke of you both. I loved my brother with all my heart, I know I did not say it enough, but he knew I did. One day, in heaven, I will make up for all the times we missed. I Love you all and know that Jesus is with us and will carry us through this and He will be glorified! Corinna Belmontez Luevano
Mary and Boys There are many things I will miss about Felix but just to name a few will be his smile, his stories and definetly his laugh. We had a lot of fun growing up. He was the first Grandcild for my Mother and Father. There isn't but two years age difference between us. He Loved you all very much and he loved Montana, I thought he wasn't going to like it there but he proved me wrong. When he talked about his hunting trips with the boys, his trips with Mary and being home with you all and especially with his Grandchildern, he had this radiance about his smile. I am going to miss him terribly but I know he will never be far from us. We Love you all very much and you are in our hearts and prayers. Aunt Kathy

Dearest Mary, my brother's beautiful wife, Thank you so much to you, Felix III and his family, and Raymond and his family for making us feel so comfortable in your homes. I love you Mary, we're all praying for you. I was good to see my brother's family and many of his friends. I'm sorry it took me too long to finally get back to Montana. I didn't realize how long it was since I last saw Felix. It really didn't seem that long at all because I always talk to the kids about him and all the funny stories we had as kids. One year while we were kids, Felix took the motor off the lawn mower and hooked it up to a go-cart he built. We threw the dogs in the house so they wouldn't run off. He opened both gates on the side of the house and charged the neighborhood kids money to take a ride around the house. Felix would take everything apart and hide it in the garage before our mother got home. After you two were married, we were laughing about it in the same back yard and it wasn't until then when our mother discovered! our little back yard business. Oh my! You should have seen the look on her face. Those stories will go on for generations to come. Stories about their Great-Uncle Felix, the builder and the man who traveled America. Grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all. Love Laura
Mary and family, I also have many fond memories of Felix, my favorites are when he was young and always into something, and we wonder where Evan gets it from????? He was never one to hide his love for you Mary, and it reflects in Ray & Little Felix as they go on to raise their families, his legacy lives on in them. Even in your grief you were all so gracious and hospitable to all of us, we love you and you are all in our prayers, aunt Geneva
Dear Mary and family, I'm so sorry to hear about Felix Jr. I remember him from our many visits to Felix and Juanita's house when I was a child with our mother Trina Belmontez Hernandez. Flex Sr. was mom's first cousin we called the brothers Uncles. Again I'm sorry about your loss, Love cousin Maximino J. Hernandez
Dad, sorry it took so long to say something but it is hard to know that you are actually gone. I miss the best friend I have ever had and it is painful to know that Jonas will not be able to hear your funny songs and playful games. I only wish you could see what has been happening since you have been gone. You would be very proud of me and Ray. Lilly always talks about you and that's good cause she will remember you more. I'll take care of mom and make sure she is happy. Love you pop and I'll keep praying and talking to you. Love Felix Belmontez III
