Juanita K. VanAuken passed away on August 11, 2008 at St. John’s Lutheran Home. She was born to Donald and Thelma Williams on May 22, 1928. She went to school in Woodland, Ill., going on to Perdue University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in 1949. She married Philip VanAuken on March 31, 1951. After 10 years of living in Wyoming and Montana, they settled in Billings, MT. In 1986, she fulfilled her dream of moving to Arizona. Juanita lived in Scottsdale, AZ and Cave Creek, AZ before returning to Billings, MT in 2007. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her son, Phil VanAuken (Melissa Hewlett); brother Milton Williams; Nephews, Jim Williams, Sam Williams, and John Williams; and niece Julie Schlereth. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Nature Conservatory in Montana or Arizona. |
