Marjorie Alice McConville Schooley passed away on Friday, August 1,2008, in Billings, Montana, at the age of 82. She was born in Whitefish, Montana to George and LaVera McConville on July 10, 1926. She was raised and attended school in Whitefish graduating from Whitefish High School in 1944. She married Harold B. Schooley in Whitefish in 1947. The family moved to Cody, Wyoming in 1955, where Harold was manager of Valley Motor Supply, and Marge worked for many years as the bookkeeper. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Marjorie was a member of the Cody United Methodist Church. Marge was well-known for her beautiful hand-crocheted afghans and tablecloths that are treasured family heirlooms, and she donated many other afghans for charity raffles and to newborns at West Park Hospital. She volunteered a great deal of her time through the BPO Does and Eagles Auxiliary by preparing meals, assisting with fundraisers, and participating in the Eagles Drill Team. Her hobbies included crossword and jigsaw puzzles, scrapbooking and weekly bingo with daughter Bev. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, two infant sons, her parents, and her brother, Floyd McConville. She is survived by three children: Beverly Lynn Pinnick (Charles) of Billings, Terry G. Schooley (Linda) of Bozeman, and Joyce Anderson (Brent) of Murray, UT; grandchildren: Jeff Pinnick (Kristen), Brad Pinnick (Felicia), Ryan Schooley, Carol Devenish (Doug), and Brenda Labrum (Nick); great- grandchildren: Jake, Luke, and Josh Pinnick, Andrew and Connor Devenish, and Preston Labrum; sister: Dorothy Junge and several and nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Marge’s family will be receiving guests for visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., on Monday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary in Billings. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Wednesday, at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody, Wyoming. Interment will follow at the Cody Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, a reception will be held at the Cody Elk’s Lodge. |
