I just wanted to say I will miss my uncle Ronnie. I wish he would have had more time to get to know my kids and husband. He will always be missed and live in my heart I love you uncle Ronnie love The Sraders

Ron “Grandpa” Gehring was born July 20, 1954 in Billings, MT to Ann (Eisenrich) and Delbert Gehring. He died August 31, 2008 in a boating accident at Dead Man’s Basin. Ron served in the Army reaching the rank of Sergeant before being discharged in 1976. He worked as a concrete finisher with Custom Concrete for a number of years before his death. Ron liked to fish and camp with his family and friends. He was a hardworking, kind-hearted person who had a passion for living life to the fullest. Ronnie is survived by two sisters, Marlene (Larry) Thiel of Laurel and Judy Moore of Billings; brother Albert (Cheryl) Gehring of Billings; his girlfriend Karen Morrow, also of Billings; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Delbert; and his grandparents. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Burial with military honors will follow at Mountview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Michelotti-Sawyers from 12-6 p.m. on Wednesday, and prior to the service on Thursday. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. |
