William "Bill" Rookhuizen

William Rookhuizen, 52, died at his home on Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 following a long illness. William was born in Billings Montana on April 16, 1954 to William and Jane Rookhuizen.

William was a kind soul who always had time for others. He was an avid hunter and shot many trophy elk and deer. He was an excellent marksman and was particularly proud of a champion buffalo he shot several years ago. He also loved to camp and fish with his family. Bill loved to cook holiday dinners for friends and family.

Bill was previously married to Louise Moore and they had three children. Bill worked as a meat cutter for Pierce Packing until they closed and then worked for the city of Billings at the water plant until becoming ill.

Bill is survived by his sons Jamie and Michael Rookhuizen and his daughter Aleesha Rookhuizen; four grandsons; three brothers Steve Rookhuizen (Debbie), Herman Rookhuizen, and John Rookhuizen (Jennifer); three sisters Rachel McCann (Gordon), Esther Seerup (Willie), and Emma Nauman (Randy); as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill was proceeded in death by his parents (William and Jane Rookhuizen) and his niece Jenny McCann.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2007 at the Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1810 Shiloh Road. Interment will follow at Mountview Cemetery.
