Dorothy Mae Michels

1927-2007

Dorothy Mae Michels, 80 of Billings, passed away Friday, August 31, 2007 at Billings Clinic Hospital. The daughter of James W., and Violet Coleman, Dorothy was born May 29, 1927. At an early age the family moved to Billings where she grew up and graduated from Senior High School.

She married Eugene Michels in Livingston in 1946 and they made their home in Bozeman before moving to Billings.

Family was very important to Dorothy. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, camping and fishing and her pets.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene of Billings, daughter Dianne Christmann (Allen), and son Dave Michels (Jeanneth) all of Laurel, five grandchildren, James Michels, Marsha Hawkins (Jim), Brian McCombs (Schuron), Kirt Christmann and Kevin Christmann, and four great grandchildren, Jarod Michels, Dillon Hawkins, Haley McCombs, and Jaida Christmann.

Preceding her in death were two children, Andrew and Janice Michels., her parents, and 2 sisters, Mary Ann Neudick, and Francis Leicher-Smith.

Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Remembrances

May I tell you how much I will miss Dorothy and her very real sense of humor. After school started and I returned to Beartooth to work Friday afternoon, I asked when "our dear Dorothy" would be back. Leanne shared her passing with me, and we had a good cry together. Please know that I will miss her, and I'd like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family.
