He was a good neighbor and a good
friend. Jarvis Richard Klem passed away on August 17, 2007 after
battling a brief illness. He was born in his family home in Pembina,
North Dakota on October 13, 1928 to Dora and Nicholas Klem.
Jarvis served in the Navy and
attended college on the G.I. Bill, earning his BS in Geological
Engineering. Soon after obtaining a position at the BLM, he married
Lola Jo Lipe in 1961. He was transferred to Billings, MT in 1978 and
came to consider it his home. Known as ‘Jerry’ to all, he was a
giving and generous man.
He is survived by his mother; 4
brothers; and 3 sisters. He was preceded in death by his father and
his wife.
Funeral services will be held at
1:00 P.M., on Thursday, August 23, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.
Visitation for Jerry will begin on Tuesday at Michelotti-Sawyers.
Interment will be held on Thursday, August 30 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery
in Salt Lake City, Utah.
