Patricia Kelly

1909 - 2007

Patricia Kelly, 98 of Billings, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2007 at St. Vincent Health Care. She was born on January 22, 1909 in Kensel, ND to Tom and Mary Pokourny Savage. The family moved to the Wibaux area where she attended high school. She then moved to Glendive where she met her husband John "Jake" Kelly. They were married in 1930 and to this union three children were born, Margaret Kirkness, Pat Kelly and John "Jack" Kelly.

She has been a member of Holy Rosary Parish as well as the Catholic Daughters for many years. She was a life-long Democrat and loved her sports. She has been a resident of Prairie Towers since 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son Jack, grandchildren Kevin and Jill as well as her three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her daughter Margaret Kirkness and son Pat Kelly and his wife Margie., 12 grandchildren, her first grandchild, Mike Kirkness who became a priest, Tom Kirkness, Kathy Beckman, Kelly Farquhar, Vickie Eliason, John Kelly, Coleen Andrus, Lori Ritz, James Kelly, Lisa Kelly, Ken Kimble and Kimberly Kimble, 23 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Sister Adrienne Marie, Sisters of Humility, many, many nieces and nephews, and her many friends of the Prairie Tower Family and from Holy Rosary.

Cremation has taken place. Vigil service will be 7pm Friday and Funeral Mass 10am Saturday, both at Holy Rosary Parish. Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

 

Remembrances

Grandma, I will miss your optimism, your zest for life, our talks on politics and the times we celebrated Tiger Wood's victories. I selfishly wanted you around forever. It won't be the same here on earth without you, but your spirit will live on with us all.

I didn't know all of the family members but her bother Frances (Tom) was my stepfather who passed away in 1998.My mother Mary passed away in 2003 Although I cannot attend the funeral my thoughts are with all the family and friends.
