Arlene E. Kennedy, 89 of Billings, passed away on
September 13, 2007. She was born on October 1, 1917 in North Anson,
Maine. During WWII, while working as a riveter on war planes, Arlene
met Laurence Kennedy, who was serving in the Navy. They were married
on June 21, 1945 in Corpus Christie, TX.
After the war, they returned to Larry’s birth
place in Billings. Following the initial culture shock of moving
from New York City to Montana, she came to love the mountains,
fishing, hunting and traveling with Larry.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, her
parents and a brother. She is survived by her children, Joanne Grove
and Charles Kennedy, both of Billings; 8 grandchildren; and 13
great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will
be held at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at
Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Rocky Mountain
Hospice, Billings Health and Rehabilitation Community, or the
Alzheimer’s Association.
The family would like to extend a big thank you to
the staff and friends at Billings Health and Rehab for their love
and care of Arlene over the past 3 years. And also to Rocky Mountain
Hospice for their dedicated service provided during Arlene’s last
days. |
