Sharon Amsbaugh, 72 of Billings, passed away
Tuesday, September 18, 2007 in her home after a hard fought battle
with cancer.
Sharon was born in Denver, Colorado on June 14,
1935 to Hugh and Ellen Long. She attended school in Denver
graduating from East High School and later attended Colorado State
University and Denver University. She was active in the Delta Gamma
Sorority. Sharon went to work for Shell Oil Company where she met
her husband, Ted.
On February 22, 1957, they were married. They were
transferred many times throughout the Rocky Mountain Region before
returning to Denver and settling in Broomfield, Colorado. They lived
there for twenty five years raising their children Traci and Clay.
Sharon was active in the Episcopal Church and
served on the altar guild for many years. She enjoyed painting,
sewing, gardening and the joy of raising her two children.
In 1986 Sharon and Ted retired to the Bottineau,
North Dakota area near Lake Metigoshe. There she continued painting
and gardening and became very active in quilting. In 1995 they moved
to Billings to be near their daughter and her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband Ted; daughter
Traci and her husband Steve Baum; grandchildren, Jeff, Lara and
Katie; her sister Gretchen and husband Ted Chapler and their
children, Ted (Shawn) and Suzie, as well as her adopted
granddaughter Jeannie McGonagle of Ireland. She was preceded in
death by her parents and son Clay.
Memorial services will be held at St. Stephens
Episcopal Church on Sunday, September 23rd at 3:00 P.M..
Interment will be with Clay at Green Mountain Cemetery, Boulder,
Colorado at a later date.

dear friend Connie Rasmussen, Dr. Marchello, his nurses and staff
and the wonderful and caring people of Big Sky Hospice.
