Madelyn (Mandy) Peterson, 86, passed away peacefully, on Thursday,
October 11, 2007 after a long battle with cancer.
Mandy was born on September 20, 1921, in Garrison ND, the daughter
of Rosina and John Mehlhoff.
She married Oscar L. Peterson on July 5, 1941.
Mandy loved camping, knitting, crocheting, entertaining and
meeting new people.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar, sisters
Freda Strecker, Bea Hummel, Rita Johnson, and Dorothy Elam.
She is survived by her sisters Alvina Flath of Oregon, Pauline
(Garfield) Munson of
Helena
; brother Melvin (Yvonne) Mehlhoff of Bismark, ND; daughters Ann
(Willie) Williams of
Helena
, Mileen (Jim) Vandeberg of Billings; granddaughter Carlisa (Paul)
London of Polson; grandsons Gary Williams of Couer d’Alene, ID, and
Todd (Alysha) Vandeberg of Billings; great granddaughters Skyla
London and Melissa Vandeberg, and numerous cousins, nieces and
nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 15th
at
Peace
Lutheran
Church
in
Billings
. A private burial will
be held at a later date in
Helena
at Fort Harrison Veteran’s cemetery.
