W. Powell was born in Loveland, Colorado on January 11, 1911 to Jacob and
Lora D Marr. As a child she moved with her parents to Miles City where she
attended school and graduated from CCHS in 1929. She married Frank E. Powell
August 1, 1933. Muriel enjoyed bowling, traveling, gardening, playing cards,
riding motorcycle, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
She retired from First National Bank where she gained many long lasting friendships. Her family and friends always came first. Muriel inspired those who loved and knew her with her will to live and her never ending fight to enjoy life. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank E. Powell. She leaves behind an adopted family who have loved her for over 40 years. Betty Hofstad, Richard & Karla Hostetler, Danny & Tracy Short, and special to her heart were her "grandchildren" Leah and Kevin Poelma, Jennifer and Bryan Turley, Justin Hostetler, Kirsten & Yvette Short, Valerie, Matthew, & Kaden Poelma, and Damion Turley, many other close friends, and nephew Arlin Sarff and grand-nephew Dana Sarff. Muriel joined Frank, May 29th, 2007 . We will miss her. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be 10:30am Saturday at Mountview Cemetery.
