You left us much too soon. We had so many unfinished things to to. Love you forever Your big sister D <><><>

God
saw that you were suffering and a cure was not to be; so He put his arms
around you and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched you
slowly fade away. Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best! It hurts so much to loose you but you didn't go alone; our thoughts and prayers went with you the day God took you home. Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend has left this world and gone to a better place. Shirley M. Walrod Lenning was born on the family ranch 9 miles north of Roundup on May 2,1939, the third child of Donald L and Mary L. Bishop Walrod. She attended her first 3 years of school in Billings and moved to Roy, MT with her family where she graduated from high school. Returning to Billings she completed beauty school, working many years as an operator, waitress and finally as a laborer at Exxon. Shirley is survived by her husband of 45 years, Duane, of Columbus. Sons, Mitchell (Alison) of Worden and Michael of Billings. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lisa Lang, her son Dyrck and Charles Lenning of Billings. Special buddy and grandson, C.M., of Worden. Brothers Dean (Cheryl) Walrod of Hamilton and Jim (Carol) Walrod of Opportunity. Sisters, Dolores A. Terpstra (Art) of Billings and Mary L Keith of Iowa.. Many nieces and nephews. Best friend and neighbor, Robin Brennen. Sister by choice, Patt Leikam. Gone before her are her parents, grandparents and her very special friend, Evelyn (Pee Wee) Thormahlen who are waiting at the gate. We wish to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice for their kind, loving care and also Robin who was there through the good times and the bad. Should you desire to honor Shirley with a memorial please send it to the Larry Jordan Crisis Fund @ PO Box 1122, Billings, MT 59103. Cremation has taken place.
