Harvey H. Frick, 92 of Billings, passed away on July 21, 2007 at Higate Senior Living. Harvey was born in Scott County, Iowa near the farming community of Durant, Iowa on November 28, 1915. His parents were Henry Frick, Jr. and Helena Undtiedt.

Harvey grew up on a farm near Durant and was educated in the Durant public schools.

In 1941 Harvey and Helen were married. This union was blessed with three daughters, Susan Kay, Cheryl Ann, and Julia Rae.

In 1943 Harvey was baptized and confirmed in Helen’s home church of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Williamsburg, Iowa. He became a life member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

The first few years of Harvey’s working career were spent farming near Wilton Junction and Williamsburg, Iowa. In 1947 Harvey took a job with J I Case of Bettendorf, Iowa. Working in the experimental field, Harvey took Combines, then other machines to the rice fields of Arkansas and the wheat fields of Montana.

In 1950, Harvey transferred to the service department, taking him to Michigan to work with implement dealers, farmers, and the fruit growers. Then in 1957, Case took him to Montana where he loved the mountains, hunting, and fishing. Harvey retired in 1982, following 35 years with Case, 25 of which he served in Montana.

Harvey is survived by Helen Frick, his wife of 66 years; daughters Susan Frick Payne and Julia Thomas Foster; granddaughter Laura M. Foster; three sisters, Phyllis Frick, Gloria Ferguson and Jane Moeller; two sisters-in-law, Marion and Maxine Frick; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl Ann; his mother and father; sister, Arlene Cole; and three brothers, Edwin, Donald and Leroy.

As Harvey requested, cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Michelotti-Sawyers was in charge of arrangements.
