1921-2007

Remembrances

Surrounded by his family and the angels of Horizon Hospice House, John A. "Jack" Bayers left his tired body to join Jesus in his glorious kingdom, on July 5, 2007.

Jack was born August 7,1921 in Lavina, MT to John and Cora Bayers. He received his schooling in the Worden, Lavina, and Billings schools. He called Nibbe, MT home for most of his childhood.

He received two honorable discharges from the United States Army, serving in the Philippines and India.

Jack was employed at The Billings Gazette in his earlier years. He retired from American Appliance Company after 25 years of being a sales rep for them.

He loved animals and had a passion for horses which he shared with his children. He loved to fish, especially at Canyon Ferry. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his wife Hazel of 46 years; son John Bayers of Billings; daughter Jacque (Bob) Hansen of Worden, MT; grandsons Gunnar and Devon Hansen of Worden; step children George (Connie) Rowton of Billings, Sheila (Keith) Thornton of Poulsbo, WA, Jean (Paul) Dennis of Littleton, CO; brother Neil Bayers of Pompeys Pillar, MT; 5 step grandchildren; one great grandson; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in

death by his parents; stepson Dennis; grandson Dane Hansen; and sisters Melba Meyer, Marge Trenka, Shirley Bayers, and Babe Naasz.

We love you and miss you dad. We are looking forward to seeing you again one day. The casket is open for visitation at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Burial with military honors will be held at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
