Remembrances

Edward Eugene Henman, 92 of Billings, passed away early Thursday morning, April 26th. He was born to Ruth (Wattenberg) and Jay L. Henman on March 10, 1915 in Monarch, Wyoming. He attended schools in Monarch, Lodge Grass and Sheridan, Wyoming and cowboyed on various ranches in the area.

Eddie enlisted in the Navy soon after Pearl Harbor and was stationed in Hawaii as a parachute rigger from 1942 to 1946, making several "free fall" jumps. He sold out in 1948 when he married Marjorie Clifford, a marriage that would last 59 years. Together, they had three daughters, Margene (Charlie) Hall of Red Lodge, and twins, Jane and Janet Henman of Billings.

He was in the war surplus business for some time, then worked road construction driving truck for many years, retiring in 1980, however continuing his involvement in Real Estate and Rentals.

Edward was preceded in death by an infant brother Carl Lee; his half sister Ernestine Eggert; and his infant grandson Benjamin Hall.

He was survived by his wife Marjorie of Billings; his three daughters; two grandchildren, Amanda (Hall) Fanzone of Seattle and C.J. Hall of Red Lodge; and good friend, Claudia Reitz who made breakfast for him over the past few years.
