Maria G. Cantu Cannon

Remembrances Maria G. Cantu Cannon gently passed away April 8th, 2007 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Maria was born on December 12, 1941 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Her family moved to Montana and she graduated from Huntley Project High School in 1961.

She is survived by her husband James Cannon; her daughter Kimberly and grandson Jedidiah Reichert; her son Anthony Misura and wife Debra grandchildren Cody, Logan, and Madalena. She is also survived by her parents Maria Concepcion and Seraphin Cantu; brothers and sisters, Oliberio (Kuks) Cantu, Dora (Joe) Flanagan, Octavio Cantu, Oscar (Donna) Cantu, Horacio Cantu, Lila De Leon, and Sarita Guerra.

Maria was preceded in death by her sister Trinidad Cantu De Garcia.

Maria lived in Billings and worked for Security Bank, Burlington Northern Oil and Gas Division, Milestone Petroleum, Meridian Oil, Norwest Bank, and Wells Fargo. She enjoyed her many years helping others and working in the banking field. She had a passionate love of gardening and spent countless hours tending to her rose garden. She especially loved sharing her roses with others.

Funeral Mass for Maria Cannon will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at St. Patrick’s Co-Cathedral with Rite of Committal to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving guests for visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Friday, April 13, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.
