Remembrances

Elaine Marie Baier Seidl, 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday November 21, 2006.

Elaine was born on September 9, 1932 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Irene and Henry Baier.

Elaine married John Seidl in 1958 and they moved to New York City for Johns work. In 1962 they moved to Ashland, Montana to open a factory to help promote donations to St. Labre Mission.

Elaine worked for St. Labre at the cafeteria and in the school’s religion center.

Elaine and John retired in 1993 and moved to Billings where they continued to be active in the church and enjoyed exercising at the YMCA. Elaine volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul and St. Vincent’s Hospital. Mom enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being with her family.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband John in 1996.

Elaine is survived by her two daughters Ann Marie Seidl of Billings and Nancy Heideman (Tim) of West Yellowstone, Son-in-law Dan Walters of Billings, 4 grand children, 5 great grandchildren, sisters Marlene Caesar, Andrea Buth (Bob) , and brothers Lee Baier (Audrey) and Bob (Bonnie) Baier.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Bernard’s Parish. The Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation and viewing will take place Monday evening and continue from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM on Tuesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.

Elaine’s wishes were for any memorials to be made to Soaring Eagle Heritage Living Center,745 Indian Trail, Billings MT, 59105, or the St. Labre Mission, PO Box 216, Ashland, MT 59003.
