Remembrances Ellen Serr was born on June 8, 1916 in Sterling, Colorado to Alexander and Beulah Serr. She died October 23, 2005, in Billings. Her husband of 66 years, Jarrad G. Powell, Sr., preceded her in death in November, 2005.

She was a remarkable spirit - strong, steadfast, and true - the compass for the entire family who always kept us from losing our way. She is survived by her children, Pamela Sanderson (Robert), Dina Pett (Charles), and Jarrad Powell, Jr. (Molly Scott); five grandchildren, Kim Roebling and Tony Pett, Mark and Michael Sanderson and Stephen Brook Powell; five great-grandchildren, Alex and Adam Roebling, Quinn and North Sanderson and Eva Pett, and her sister Bertha Beaumont of Helena. She was also preceded in death by her sister Dix Palmer.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family requests no flowers. If desired, memorials may be made to Big Sky Hospice P.O. Box 35033, Billings, MT 59107.
