Joe passed away suddenly at his home in Casper, Wyoming on September 26, 2006. Joe was born in Billings, MT on November 23, 1959 to Samuel and Helen Lois Lundervold. He graduated from
Central High School in Billings and attended college there.
In his younger years he was active in many 4-H events and loved
racing and jumping his motorcycle.
He raced for Yamaha and Suzuki in his teen years including racing the Baha
in California. He was also
active in the rodeo circuit for several years riding bulls. In 1980 he met Debbie Lucero in Billings. They married and to this union, the light of his life was born, his daughter, Samantha, “Sam”. Joe and Debbie later divorced. Joe had driven truck for Cal Gas Propane, JE Williams and Corcoran Trucking all of Billings. He had worked for the U.S. Government, and owned his own landscaping and contracting business in Billings. He also worked two years for All Alaskan Seafood fishing the Bering Straights. In 1992 he met Norma
Walker DeGarland in Billings.
They were together until his death.
They shared many happy times fishing, enjoying life and just being
together.
He loved fishing,
hunting and watching the NASCAR races.
He was an avid fan of Jeff Gordon.
Some of his many hobbies included drawing, collecting ducks, and
doing woodwork. Failing heath
prevented him from using his fishing boat this summer, but wanted to go
fishing on his birthday which was a tradition with him. He is survived by
Norma DeGarland, his loving companion for the last 14 years; his daughter,
Sam Farr of Newport Beach, CA; sister Connie (Curt) Groscop of Billings;
and his nephew Glen Metcalf of Billings. He was preceded in
death by his mother and dad, parental granddad and sister, Sandy Metcalf.

Services for Jody ‘Joe’ Samuel Lundervold will be held at 11:00 A.M. on
Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at Mountview Cemetery in Billings, Montana.
