Remembrances

May Heringer gave up her struggle with cancer and went home to be with her Lord and Savior August 23, 2006. May was born in Lubbock, TX March 25, 1925, and raised by her adoptive parents, the Lindleys, on a ranch near Mertzon, TX. She was a long time resident of Glendive, MT. She moved to Billings in 1981.

May retired as a nurse from Saint Vincent Hospital in Billings in 1987. She enjoyed gardening, baking, camping and fishing, and especially being "gramma" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. May loved the outdoors and spent her final years touring as often as possible in her motor home.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Jack Heringer. May is survived by her brother Larry Lindley in Cauldwell, TX, her son Harold Smith of Billings, MT, her daughter Patty Olson from Basin, WY, four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday August 25 at Holy Rosary Church in Billings. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family asks that in lieu of flowers you make a contribution to Big Sky Hospice or a charity of your choice.

Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
