Florence
Anderson, beloved wife, mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother died
October 9,2006 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 82. Born on April 24, 1924, in Huntley, MT, Florence was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Schleining. She had one younger brother, Ernie. Florence grew up in Billings and was a graduate of Billings Senior High's 1942 graduating class. In 1943 she married Clarence (Andy) Anderson and moved to Helena, where her daughter, Trudy, was born. They moved back to Billings and in 1955 moved to Sacramento, California where Andy established and co-owned a Chevrolet Dealership. In 1965 they returned to Billings where Andy owned and operated Frontier Chevrolet Company. Starting at a very young
age, Florence was gifted artistically. She would spend hours drawing and
designing clothes. Her passion was sewing and there was no garment that she
couldn't create. She loved to entertain and was an outstanding cook. She had a
fantastic sense of humor and loved to laugh. She and her daughter would get
tickled about something and laugh until they cried. She was a devoted wife and
mother. Florence enjoyed being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren
for they brought her much joy. Florence wintered in Palm Springs, and loved
spending time with her family and being silly with her great granddaughters who
lovingly called her Mimi. Florence was preceded in
death by her husband Clarence “Andy” Anderson and brother Ernie Schleining. Surviving is her daughter,
Trudy Buck, granddaughter, Kari Buck, both of Billings, granddaughter Jody
Peterson and husband, Jeff and 2 Great Granddaughters, Emma and Lucy all of
