Jeannette Rita Guay
Jeannette Rita Guay of Billings, Montana passed away peacefully at home with her family around her on May 18, 2011 at the age of ninety-one.
Jeannette was born in Butte, Montana and is preceded in death by her father John Rudman and her Mother Helen, and brother, Jack Rudman. Jeannette graduated from Butte Central in 1939. She married George Guay, and they moved to Billings in 1947 starting the Midland Paint Company with his brothers Homer and Harvey Guay.
Throughout the years, she did the books for Midland Paint
and the H&G Company. She also made sure the miners had
plenty of food when they went on their mining adventures
throughout the state of Montana.
Jeannette’s main and cherished role was loving and taking
care of her husband, her children, her grandchildren and
great grandchildren. There was always a warm meal in the
house and cookies or cinnamon rolls after school. Not a day
went by that anyone that entered 532 didn’t feel welcomed
and loved.
Jeannette is survived by her husband George Guay; and her
children Georgette Guay, Billings MT; Greg and Paula Guay,
Livingston MT; and Diane Guay DeHekker and Glenn DeHekker of
Calgary AB. She also leaves behind six grand children and
five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
We believe she is at Columbia Gardens with a full dance
card, happy and peaceful in the glory a loving wife and
mother deserves. We will miss her very much.
The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 4-7 p.m., Monday, May 23 at Michelotti-Sawyers. Cremation will follow. Memorial Services to be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice.
