Loretta Vasquez (Perez) Corchado

On Sunday May 8, 2011 Our Heavenly Father called our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Loretta home. She passed away at home surrounded by loved ones. Loreta was born on May 6, 1955 to Fermin and Frances Vasquez in Billings, Montana. Her father passed away when she was 2 years old and she was raised by her dad (Speedy) Joe Camarillo.

She attended Taft Elementary, Riverside Junior High and Senior High.

She moved to California in 1986 then she married the love of her life Jose (Mel) Corchado in 1988. The family returned to Billings in 1991 and raised their children here. She worked for Great Western Sugar Factory and School District 2.

Loretta enjoyed life to the fullest! Her favorite thing was to spend time with family and friends and cruising the Southside. Her breif time being a grandmother was the joy of her life.

Loretta is survived by her husband of 25 years, her daughter Alisha (Adam) Smith, son Pino (Vicky) Corchado and grandkids, Vasquez and Amada and Hailey and Genaro. Her special nephew (son) Elias Villarreal. She is also survived by her sisters, Rosalie (Joe) Reyna, Linda (John) Perez, Lydia (Leon) Padilla, Stella (Jose) Cano, Bonnie (Andy) Castro and Delphine (Leroy Pena) Camarillo, and a HUGE extended family.

She is preceded in death by her much loved parents and brothers Davey Lee and Freddy.

A special thanks to Riverstone Hospice and the medical staff at Deaconess Billings Clinic.

Loretta, we will miss all of your smart ass remarks and your witty charm. We will always cherish the memories we have of you.

Meño, Leecha, & Pino,

My deepest heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother. It made me sad to hear of her passing. It did not matter to her that me, my sister Yadira, and brother Meño were just kids when we lived next door to you guys out here in California, she always treated us like people. She was always cracking jokes, smiling, and making us laugh. I remember when your mom would play volleyball or badminton with us. She had a great competitive spirit. Those were fun times. It was always Yadira and her vs. me and Meño. I remember the 4th of Julys and how your mom always made sure we celebrated with the coolest fireworks. We couldn’t have asked for a better neighbor. She was always there looking out for us when our parents were away at work. We always knew we could run to your mom if something bad were to happen. Our entire family, me, Meño, Yadira, Marissa, and my parents send our love and prayers. Thank you for sharing your mom with us, she truly was an awesome person who made everyone happy to have her in their life.
