Wilma Mayer Ratté
Wilma, my beloved wife and friend, has left me and this world for a better place. Wilma, age 90 of Billings, passed away on March 7, 2011. She had suffered from declining health over the past few weeks, and she is now at peace. Wilma was born in Bear Creek, MT on December 3, 1920, the daughter of John and Stephanie Mayer. She attended school in Bear Creek and Red Lodge.
To all who knew her, she was a gentle spirit of kindness and helpfulness. A lover of flowers, especially roses, she cared for the plants in her yard from late spring until late fall. She was a member of St. Pius X Church in Billings, and was active in the catholic community while she was living in Red Lodge.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Paul Ratté of Billings; niece Shelley (Pat) Behm and their son Hayden of Billings; two nephews, Ky Carlton and Ken Kraintz of Everett, WA.
On behalf of the family, we are grateful to Forest Ridge Care Home and Journey Hospice for their love and support during Wilma’s last days. The staff made her stay there very peaceful.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 11 at St. Pius X Church. Rite of committal will take place at Red Lodge Cemetery later in the afternoon. The casket will be open for visitation at Michelotti-Sawyers on Wednesday and Thursday, and prior to mass at the church.
