Dorothy R. Liquin

Dorothy R. Liquin was the youngest daughter of Effie and Christy Teters, born in Livingston, Mont., on April 16, 1917. She attended school in Livingston and then went to Lindenwood College. In 1940, she married Fred Liquin. They had 58 splendid years together. There were the light of each other's lives. They moved to Billings in 1953. Fred died in 1998. Dorothy passed away on March 23, at Vista, surrounded by loved ones. Dorothy had many fine qualities, but foremost was her love for people. She knew everyone's name and what was important to them. She had and appreciation for almost everyone that she encountered.

Dorothy and Fred were generous community supporters of the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Masonic Order, Montana State University, YWCA, Billings Food Bank, Special K Ranch, Family Services, Willsall High School and many others.

There will be a celebration of Dorothy's life on Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m. at The Vista. This luncheon will honor the staff that was so important to her. Her cremated remains will be scattered among Fred's on a hill just West of Willsall.

Surviving are a niece, Patricia Teters of Florida and nephew William Nelson of California.

Add Your Remembrance

Dorothy and Fred Liquin were, without any doubt whatsoever, two of the nicest people who have ever walked the planet. The world was, and is, a better place because of them. Thanks to both of you for everything.

Dorothy, so happy for you that you can now be back with Fred.
