Betty Cotter

Betty Cotter

God called our beautiful Mother, Granny and Wife, Betty Cotter, age 68, home in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 9, 2011 due to multiple health problems.

Betty was born June 1, 1943 in Sidney, MT to Joseph and Ruth Brown. She grew up and attended school in Sidney. Betty married Richard Cotter on March 11, 1966 in Sidney. This past March they celebrated their 45th year of marriage. Betty and Richard resided in Sidney until 1993 when they moved to Billings, MT to be close to their daughters and their family's.

Betty worked in the Health Care Profession for 44 years. She had a great passion for and deeply cared about her career. She was a fantastic Mother, Grandmother and Wife. Betty was also a fabulous cook, preparing many wonderful meals, cookies and brownies. She kept a beautiful, comfortable home and was the rock of our family.

Betty is survived by her husband, Richard Cotter. Two daughters: Donna (Mark) Black and Irene (Jeff) Anderson. Three precious grandchildren whom she loved more than life itself: Richard Klein, Dyllan and Cassandra Anderson. Three student exchange grandsons whom she loved as her own: Jose, Oscar and Jasiel. Sister Marylou Stubbs, numerous brother and sister in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ruth Brown, brother Duane Brown and two very special nieces Becky Stubbs and Rita Brown Morey.

Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the CNAs, Nurses and Staff of Ponderosa Pines Health Care, Rocky Mountain Hospice, Dr. Gurien, Dr. Guyer, Dr. Michaels and Dr. Kim for your care and compassion you gave mom. "Thank you so very much."

Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Monday, June 13, 2011 at Michelotti-Sawyer Mortuary. Visitation will be on Saturday, Sunday and before services on Monday. A reception will follow services at the home of Phil and Debbie Cotter. 1312 Miles Ave. Billings.
We welcome you to attend.

Mom... Your struggle is over. Find comfort in the arms of God. You were the best Mother, Granny, Wife and Friend. So perfect. So strong. Our Rock! We love you with all our hearts and we will miss you so much...until we meet again...

Remembrances

Richard, Donna, Irene, Mary Lou, and all of Betty's family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. I know it leaves a deep hole in your hearts.
It's been many years since living in Sidney, however, Betty was always so friendly whenever I'd see her and would stop and visit over the cart at the grocery store or where ever I'd see her.
May your memories hold her close to you always. With sympathy, prayers, and hugs,
Charlotte (Simonsen) Guptill
