Remembrances
Bina and family, Ceil and I wish to add our condolences to you upon Ray's death.I admired and respected him.
When he became principal and I was teaching at Senior, I learned how open he was to sound ideas put forth by staff. He listened to you and if he felt the idea was worthwhile, he gave you the ok and stood behind you.
He believed that Senior was truly a student centered school. Its primary mission was to educate students and he held fast to that belief.
He also believed that the role of the administration was to provide support to the teachers to do their jobs. Once in awhile someone might refer to him as "boss" and he immediately informed them the title did not apply.
When I became principal, I tried to keep these ideas as a bases for my administration and I hope that I succeeded.
God Bless, Jim and Ceil
