Patricia Virgil Witke
Patricia Virgil Witke, 79 of Billings, passed away
unexpectedly of natural causes on January 31, 2011 at the
Billings Clinic. Patti was born to Rae and Murrie McBride in
Honolulu, Hawaii on May 24, 1931. Patti attended school in both
Santa Barbara and Honolulu and graduated from Honolulu High
school. Upon returning to California she met Don Witke later
marring him on June 16, 1951 in Santa Barbara, CA. After moving
around some they settled in Washington where they raised their
five children. Mom was a superb seamstress and artist; she also
loved animals of all kind and a very good horsewoman. Patti
moved to Montana 25 years ago and at that time became very
involved in the Catholic community in Billings and has dedicated
most of her life to serving the church. Patti graduated from
Montana State University- Billings May of 1994 with a Bachelors
degree in History. Her charming disposition was loved and will
be missed by many.
Patti is survived by sister Margie DuBois of Jerome Idaho;
son Bard Witke and his wife Carol, of Winlock, WA; daughter
Jamina Jones of Yakima, WA; daughter Linda Meredith and her
husband Monte, of Custer, MT; son Chad Witke of Tacoma, WA;
daughter Tami Singh and her husband Rowdy of Melstone, MT;
daughter Leah Witke and husband Isidoro of Dickinson, NO;
two nephews and several cousins; 18 grandchildren and 13
great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
parents Rae and Murrie McBride and sister Lois Dunkle.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 7,
at St. Pius X Church, 18th West and Broadwater Ave.,
Billings. Rite of Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations can be made to St Pius X Church.
