Jerome (Jerry)Dee Musselman passed away on 22 Jan 2011, from complications of congestive heart failure. Jerry was born 30 June 1939, in Evanston, Wyoming the eldest child of Jerome Dave and Hazel May (Hutchinson) Musselman. He spent his early childhood in Evanston, in 1949 the family moved to Ogden, Utah.

Jerry graduated from Ben Lomond High School in Ogden in 1957. He attended Weber College and received an associate of science degree in geology. He then attended Utah State University graduating in June 1964 with a BS in wildlife management.

On 15 June 1964 he married his sweetheart, Jean Redmond, in Logan, Utah. Jerry worked for the University of Utah at Dugway Proving Ground in animal disease survey. He enjoyed trapping rodents and an occasional snake in the west desert country of Utah, and often joked about being a rat trapper. Jerry spent 34 years working for the federal government first as an item manager at Hill Field and then as an Area Utilization Officer. In 1974, his job brought his family to Billings. Montana soon became home to Jerry. Jerry loved being in the outdoors and spent many years hunting, fishing and camping with his family. After retiring in 1999 he spent a lot of time as a volunteer for the BLM. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Hazel Musselman.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, and children; David (TaraLynn) Musselman of Hawthorne, NV; Walt (Capri) Musselman of Belfry, MT; Craig (Heather) Musselman of Billings; Michael (Jennifer) Musselman of New Ulm, MN and Esther Musselman of Fort Collins, CO; and nine grandchildren. As well as his brother, John Richard (Kathy) Musselman of Reno, NV.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on January 27 at the LDS Wicks Lane Chapel, 1000 Wicks Lane. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary.
