Edwin H. Kuck
Edwin H Kuck departed from this world to a better place on
January 30, 2011. Born February 19, 1922 in Cleveland, ND to
John and Ester (Zillmer) Kuck, the oldest of 7 children. Ed
received his education at Gackle, ND. As a young man he
learned the value of hard work and the responsibility of
taking care of one’s family when he served 18 months in the
CC Corp in MN and SD. After his return he was a farm hand in
the Gackle area. In 1940 he moved to MT to help his parent’s
farm beets in the Hardin area. At the age of 21 Ed was
called to serve his country and completed basic training at
Camp Roberts, CA. He was shipped to the South Pacific with
the 7th Infantry Division and was wounded in Okinawa
receiving his Purple Heart. Then returned home in 1946 and
worked for the MT Highway Dept.
In 1948 he married Clara (Heine) Kuck at Alfred, ND. They
moved to Hardin, MT to begin their life together where they
farmed until 1955. In 1956 they moved to Billings starting
Ed Kuck Trucking until his retirement 28 years later.
Ed and Clara were blessed with two son’s Mike and Dan and 62
years of marriage.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Elroy,
Vernon and son Mike. He is survived by his wife Clara, son
Dan (Bonnie) of Billings, five grandchildren Michael E Kuck
II (Grace) of Nevada, Amanda Meier (Rick) of Columbus, Sra
Amos M Kuck of LRAFB, AR, April M Kuck and Abbigail M Kuck
of Billings. Five Great Grandchildren, Michael III, Matthew,
Cammie, Richard and Dekland. Sisters Violet DeVous, Lorraine
Meish and Brothers Ervin Kuck and Frank Kuck.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday,
February 5, at West Side Baptist Church. Burial will follow
at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Clara, we
