Petar "Jedo" Damjanovich
Our loving husband, father, Jedo, brother and uncle Petar “Jedo”
Damjanovich, 78 of Ballantine, went to join his children and
grandchildren in January 25, 2011. Petar was born in Gebo,
Wyo., the oldest son to Blazo and Drage (Vujovich) on
November 24, 1931. He graduated from Senior High, where he
met and married the love of his life, Alice Maust, in 1952.
To this love was born 11 children. Jedo retired from the
Billings Fire Department after 28 years of dedicated
service. His true passion was farming his little piece of
heaven in Ballantine.
Jedo’s pride and joy were his grandchildren and
great-grandchildren. No one was turned away from Pete and
Alice’s house. Everyone was welcome and considered family to
them. Jedo was the best Santa in the whole world, just ask
his grandkids!
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Alice; his son, Eli
(Vickie), Bobby, Daniel (Michaelean), Paul (Harriot) and
David; his daughters Diane (Ted) Sherman, Kathy (Brad)
Ketterling, and Rose (Rodney) Erb; grandchildren, Kendra
(David) Altoff, Rachael (Terry) Dravetsky, Kelli (Geno)
Martinez, Jennifer (Tim) Lowe, Michael Sherman, Aaron
(Holly) Ketterling, Josh (Teresa) Ketterling, Jason and
Travis Damjanovich, Matthew, Jacob, Jonathan Damjanovich,
Breana and Christopher Bishop, Brooke and Dustin Erb; 13
great-grandchildren; 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister; 1
brother; sons, Marko and John; daughter Teresa;
granddaughter Amanda; and great-grandson, Hayden.
Viewing will be Thursday from 8a.m.-5p.m., at Michelotti-Sawyers. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 28, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Burial will take place at Pleasantview Cemetery in Ballantine. A reception will follow at Homesteader Hall in Huntley. Memorials may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church or an organization of your choice.
