Gertrude Marsh Cysewski
Gertrude Marsh Cysewski, 93 of
Billings, passed away at St. Vincent Healthcare on September 15,
2010, of natural causes. She was born on April 26, 1917 in Grand
Prairie, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Charles and Irene
LeRoy. When she was 3 years old, she came to the U.S. with her
mother.
Gertrude married Fred Marsh in 1934, and 5 children were born to
this union. Gertrude raised her family on a ranch in the Bull
Mountains, where she also took on the roll as a ranchers wife.
She later took a job at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings at a
nurses aide. She was there for 27 years before retiring. In
1997, Gertrude married Jerome Cysweski.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband
Fred Marsh; sister, Norma Stewart; and grandson, Bradley
Susott.
She is survived by her husband Jerome “Jerry” Cysewski of
Billings; Gertrude and Fred’s children, Georgia Botsch,
LaRene Susott, Gordon Marsh, and Beverly Meged all of
Billings and Haven Marsh of Worden; 12 grandchildren;
numerous great and great-great grandchildren and nieces and
nephews.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, both at Holy Rosary Parish. Cremation will follow. Private inurnment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

We will greatly miss Gramma Gertrude. She was
a wonderful lady and we are so fortunate to have known her. John,
the boys and I extend our deepest sympathies to everyone in her
family, and especially to Stewart.
