Pearl Weber-Zimmerman
With her son and daughter by her side, Pearl passed away
ending her battle with Alzheimer’s. Nothing could have been
more fitting then on a beautiful Sunday, October 10th, for
her to join her Lord and Savior in heaven.
Pearl was born on February 7th, 1932 to Elwood and Adaline
Grissom in Lewistown, Montana. She was the youngest of three
children. The family moved to Hamilton where she went on to
graduate from high school.
When Pearl moved to Billings a handsome young man
volunteered to pick her up from the bus station. This was
the beginning of a 45 year romance to Raymond Weber.
Pearl and Ray were married on September 14th, 1952. They
were married for 44 years until Ray’s passing in 1996.
Together, they had four children, three sons and one
daughter. She was the proud grandmother of nine
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In 2002, she
married Richard Zimmerman. They enjoyed wonderful
companionship, travels and shared friendships in Missoula.
One of the highlights of being in Missoula was that she was
able to be close to her two brothers, Elwood (Lola) who have
preceded her in death and Al (Nola).
From childhood on, Pearl’s relationship with the Lord was of
utmost importance in her life. She was faithful through her
prayers and her study of God’s word. She drew her strength
from Him daily. Her life, whether it be her family, her
friends or her warm hospitality was a direct reflection of
Jesus.
Mom had a guaranteed 5-course meal every night, with dessert
often the highlight. In the summertime, her gardens were her
signature statement of success. Mom encompassed the
full-array of what it meant to be the consummate homemaker.
Pearl is survived by her 4 children, Bernie and Sue and
their 4 children Brandon (Katie), Zachary (Kendra), Kara and
Ian; Richard and Mary Anne and their children Charissa
Kiefer (Steven, with children Geneva and Sevilla) and Jadan;
Darryl and Alison and their children Peter and Gabby; and
Pamela and Ross Adams and their son Will. Her step-mother,
Mary Michaelis, also survives her.
Michelotti Sawyers is arranging services. A time for sharing
memories will be Friday at 7pm at Michelotti Sawyers.
Funeral services will be held at Parkhill Assembly of God at
10:30 am on Saturday.
Memorials may be sent to Parkhill Assembly of God Church or the Alzheimer’s Association-Montana Chapter.
Remembrances
Please leave your name and remembrance in this public guest book. Your comments will be shared on this page and forwarded to the family.
I was so sorry to read in the paper this morning about Pearl’s passing. I always loved visiting with her at Tender Nest when she and my mom would sit at the table for meals together. She was a sweet and beautiful woman and I am honored to have known her for that short time. It is so very hard, the loss through Alzheimer’s. May you all find peace in this through God and prayers and I will keep you in my prayers as you go through this devastating loss. With sweet remembrance of Pearl ~ Diana Evans
