Joseph David Love

Joseph Love

Joseph David Love, 82 of Billings, went peacefully to be with our heavenly Father while in the presence of his family, Monday afternoon, October 18th, 2010.

Joe was born January 10th, 1928, in Silverton, OR to Thomas and Caroline (Tarro) Love. He grew up in Billings, and met his wife Jeri, in Spokane, WA while serving briefly in the military.  They made their home in Billings, where they raised their five children.

A jack of all trades, Joe was at his happiest when creating beauty with natural elements. His creations included diamond willow canes, cedar garden decor, and wood turned crafts. He was most known for his successful career as a landscape architect and then later for his use of Montana agates in making lamps, windows and tables. His beautiful waterfalls can be seen in luxurious homes and businesses throughout Billings and Portland, OR. His lamps have been sold 'coast to coast and border to border', internationally and one even graces the home of a rock star. His stunning landscapes and lamps have been published in various magazine and newspaper articles.

Joe was a 1oving and deeply 1oved husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will be remembered most for his ability to make 1asting friendships wherever he went.  He leaves behind a great heritage of Christian faith, hard work, and artistic ability.

Dear Jeri and family,

I am so sorry to read of Joe's passing. I went to church with you when you attended First Christian Church so many years ago. My mother, Iva Amans, always looked forward to having your children in her nursery. You probably don't remember me, my name was Lois Burris. I now live in Portland, Or.My children were about the same age as yours.

My best to you,

Lois Greene
