Dorothy Degnan Boos
Dorothy (Kemp) Degnan Boos, 88 of
Billings took the hand of her Blessed Savior and passed into
Eternal Life on November 5, 2010. Dorothy was born in
Scobey, MT, on November 22, 1921, the daughter of John and
Margaret (Little) Kemp.
Dorothy graduated from Wolf Point High School in 1939 and
went to the work for the FBI in Washington D.C. She
continued working for the Federal Government for the rest of
her working career. She married Harold L. Degnan, in
Pensacola, FL. To this union, five children were born,
Patrick Degnan (Paula), Michael Degnan, Tim Degnan (Debbie),
Mary Degnan Potzman (Arlen), and Maureen Degnan Wambeke
(Ron). Harold passed away in 1977. Later, she met and
married Daniel Boos, becoming step-mother to his 3 children.
Dorothy was a devout Catholic and she enjoyed playing bridge
with her pals. She was a mild, tender hearted soul with a
sweet personality.
She will be missed by her children and their spouses; 10
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Doris Moreno;
brother Bob Kemp (Judy); step children, Tom Boos (Angela)
and Amy Boos; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands,
brother John Kemp; sister Peg Wagner; step-daughter, Beth
Boos.
Visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday. The casket will then be closed. Vigil Services will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral Mass is at 9 A.M., Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. A private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
