Gail M. Gullard Fritz Bond
Gail M. Gullard Fritz Bond, 85,
passed into the loving arms of her Lord on November 25,
2010. Gail will be remembered for her loving, kind and
gentle spirit by all who had the gift of knowing her.
Gail was born in a private home in Billings, MT, September
17, 1925, and grew up the middle daughter of 5 girls born to
Carl and Mamye Gullard on the 1910 family homestead near
Acton, MT. Gail enjoyed her pure Norwegian heritage. Gail
was preceded in death by her sisters Doris (Bill) Folkerts,
Lilah (Roy) Grenier and Rebecca (David) Praye. She is
survived by her sister Kathryn (Kay) Hill. Gail is also
survived by her dear lifelong friend Maggie Staley.
Gail lived an adventurous life as a young woman growing up
in the 1940’s living in Seattle and Phoenix as well as the
Billings area. Gail was crowned Miss Petroleum of Montana in
1951.
In 1951 Gail was married to L. Ernest Fritz and resided at
the Duck Creek area ranch for 27 years. Here she raised her
three sons Kerry, Cassidy and Shadd and participated in
numerous community activities including the Hillcrest Club.
In 1990 Gail married Ralph Bond and they spent 21 blessed
years together – boating, fishing, and snowmobiling at the
Hebgen Lake cabin, visiting family and enjoying life
together in the family home at the Duck Creek ranch. Thank
you Ralph for all the years of loving dedication to Gail and
particularly caring for her needs these past few difficult
years.
The pride and joy of Gail’s life has been her three sons and
her grandchildren, Kerry (Roxanne) Fritz with children Mamie
(Bryan) Wilson, Jamie (Savannah) Fritz, Noel (Alex) Edwards
and Bethany Fritz and her fiancé Andy Kittsun; son Cassidy
(Gloria) Fritz with children Braxton Fritz, Lathan Fritz,
Shandra Fritz and Cheyenne Fritz; and son Shadd (LaVonne)
Fritz with children Mandi Fischer and Elli Mae Fritz. Gail
loved her step-children Brian (Sue) Bond, Rick (Sherry)
Bond, Mike Bond, and Marge (Charlie) Coe and all of their
children as well. She took great joy in her many
great-grandchildren.

To
the Family of Gail Bond who passed away 11/25/10:I would like to
extend to the family by deepest sympathy on the passing of Gail. I
was in the Navy on Liberty and met Gail and Maggie in Seattle on VJ
Day August 1945. We enjoyed each others company for a month until I
went back to the Pacific. This was the last time I saw her. I
always looked forward to the many letters she sent me while I was at
Sea. 50 years later, I contacted her and we reminisced those times.
It was great to hear her voice and it brought back many special
memories. I am very sorry for your loss and I will miss the
Christmas cards and occasional phone calls we exchanged.
Sincerely,
Adolph B. Podurgiel
