Sheri (Schreiner)Loughney, I knew Helen for 52 years. She was my mom's best friend. I was so disappointed to see there would be no services.  I was looking so forward to seeing Tim and Greg of whom I have not seen for many , many years.   I am so sorry Tana and boys of your moms passing.

She was such a wonderful and kind person.  I know how difficult it must have been for her to be without Sam. They were such a cute couple.  I"m sure she is much happier now, but she will be truly missed.  My thoughts are with all of the family at this time.

Alice Schreiner

My life became richer when I met Helen and Sam. The mold was broken for the ideal married couple when Helen and Sam were married.

On my last visit to Helen in the hospital, I told her that Dr Laura must have used Helen as the prototype when Dr Laura wrote her book, "the Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands."   When visiting Helen and Sam in their home, I was always blown away by all the cooking, canning, etc Helen did and all of it for Sam.  Most of the food she prepared, she didn't eat herself, it was all for "Melnick", her beloved.

Billings has just lost a life-long citizen, a person who always was proud to be a Montanan.  I shall miss her, terribly.

With sincere sympathy to the family,

Donna Sweeney
