Earle LaRoche

Earle LaRoche, 79 of Billings, passed away on March 22, at home after a lengthy illness.  He was born on October 24, 1930 at Madoc, MT to Emory and Marie (Foss) LaRoche.  He attended Madoc School and Scobey High School, graduating in 1948.

Earle met his future wife, Virginia Davis, on a blind date arranged by friends. It was love at first sight; they were married in 1950 and celebrated 59 years of marriage. They raised three sons and two daughters with love and patience. Earle’s family was his greatest treasure.

Earle farmed the family farm starting while still in high school. He loved working the land raising wheat and small grains.  He was a good and successful steward of the land. He believed in serving his community and was on Madoc and Scobey School Boards for 16 years. He also served on the Farmers Union Oil Board and was a Lions Club Member.

Earle was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Ardis Harber and Amy Noble.

He is survived by his wife Ginny LaRoche of Billings; sons David LaRoche of Billings, Richard (Darla) LaRoche of Thetford Center, Vermont, and James (Denise) LaRoche of Bozeman; daughters Diane (Dennis) Williams of Corsicana, Texas and Donna (Brad) Hjelm of Billings; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 26, 2010, at St. Bernard’s Parish. Cremation will follow the service.

Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
