Steven Rush
The twinkle in his eye is gone but Steven’s smile will never be
forgotten. Steven Rush 41 passed away on June 9 at his home.
He was born on May 13, 1969 the son of Maxine and Rupert J. Rush
in San Diego County. In 1990 his family moved to Pearl Valley,
California. In 2004 he moved to Billings to be closer to his
children. He is survived by his wife Lisa, daughter Stephanie,
and sons Chase, Darrell, Seth and his father Rupert Day Rush. He
is also survived by his sisters Nancy Loras, Juanita Faye, his
brothers Alan Day Rush and Elvin Earle Rush. He was preceded in
death by his mother Maxine, sister Vickie and uncle JB Rush.
Steven was a man of all trades all of which he learned through
experience. Because of his dyslexia, he was working to get his
GED. His big goal was to achieve his Contractor’s License.
Steven loved Lisa and his children and cherished the time he
spent with them. From an early age, Steven became a Star Wars
buff. Through the years, he enjoyed giving all of his children
and nephews special souvenirs from his collection. He went to
all means to show his love and tried to keep them entertained.
When they visited him, they loved riding on his bike as he drove
them through his neighborhood. He and his daughter Stephanie
loved cooking for the family and they both added their special
techniques. They also enjoyed helping each other when they took
care of the little boys.
Steven’s presence will be sorely missed but his spirit will live
on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved him.

He will be missed a lot. He was a good uncle always made me
laugh even when things were not good in his life.
