Emanuel Kaiser
"Manny"

Emanuel Kaiser, 86, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the
Veteran’s Nursing Home in Miles City, MT.
Known as “Manny” to most and “Manuel” by his dear wife, he was
the son of Frank and Amelia (Mollie) Kaiser. Emanuel was born on
the family farm on November 4, 1923 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He
moved to Montana in 1939 with his then widowed father and five
of his seven siblings where they farmed near Silesia before
moving to Billings. His two youngest siblings were joyfully
reunited with the family in 1942.
During WWII, Emanuel served in the US Army in the South Pacific
and was severely wounded. After a full recovery, Emanuel married
Pauline (Polly) Heine of Billings on November 17, 1946. Together
they kept a farm near Hardin. Eventually Emanuel worked for
Great Western Sugar in Billings, MT. Later he took a position
with Holly Sugar in Hardin, MT. In 1962 he transferred with
Holly Sugar to Santa Ana, CA, where he was a Plant Manager.
Manny and Polly were the proud parents of two daughters, Mary
Phyllis and Debbie Diane.
Emanuel loved his three California grandsons, and even though he
and his wife eventually moved back to Montana, he always kept in
constant touch with them, and his daughter. Emanuel had a great
sense of humor and was always very social. In his later years,
he was known for getting out and about as much as possible on
his motorized mobility scooter.
Survivors include his daughter Debbie (Kaiser) McAulay, of
Irvine, CA; two brothers, Frank (Hazel) Kaiser of Missouri and
Leonard (Carlene) Kaiser of California; two sisters, Saloma
Phillips of California and Esther (Arnold) Jacobson of
Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Daniel McAulay of San Francisco,
CA, David McAulay of Tustin, CA, and Doug (Courtney Wilshire)
McAulay of Tustin, CA; and two great grandchildren, Logan and
Emma McAulay.
Emanuel was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Heine Kaiser,
October 29, 2009; his infant daughter, Mary Phyllis Kaiser; his
parents; and three brothers, Harold, Edwin, and Benjamin Kaiser.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to
the staff at the VA Nursing Care Facility in Miles City. Emanuel
loved the staff at the VA Nursing Care Facility and the care
they gave to him. He will sadly be missed by his family and
friends.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at
Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Interment with military honors will
follow at Mountview Cemetery. A Memorial Service will also be
held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the VA Nursing
Home in Miles City.
