John Covert
"Mac"
John “Mac” Covert, 63 of Billings, died peacefully at his home
on July, 31, 2010. Mac was born on April 8, 1947 to John and
Peggy Covert in Billings.
He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Following his
honorable discharge, Mac returned to Montana and in the In the
early 80’s, worked in mining exploration for Johns Manville (now
Stillwater Mine). He made many lifelong friends there. He also
worked alongside his brother in the asphalt business in Arizona
for 22 years.
Mac is survived by his brother Doug (Kathy) Covert of
Scottsdale, AZ and sister Susan (Manny) Ortiz of Phoenix,
AZ; aunt Em Roscoe of Billings and the extended Roscoe
family.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned locally.
