Donald A. Bickford
Donald A. Bickford, 75 passed away, Thursday, July 15, 2010 in
Billings.
Don was born March 9, 1935 in Billings to Chester and Helen
Bickford. He was raised in Shepherd, MT, graduating from high
school in three years in 1952. He married His high school
sweetheart, Mary Lou Pehan, August 14, 1953. They were blessed
with two boys. He was a very multi-talented man who was devoted
to his family. He enjoyed a good joke, spending time fishing,
boating, and rebuilding many antique cars. He liked to oil paint
as well as paint cars.
His work included owning a Texaco gas station, highway
patrolman, Sales Manager for Frontier Chevrolet, Ryan Olds,
Selover Buick, and established and operated Northland Automotive
for 25 years, retiring in 2001.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Helen
Bickford, brothers, Robert and jack, sisters-in-law Beth and
Alice Rose, Joe and Bessie Pehan, Mother and Father-in-law.
Survivors include Mary Lou, his wife of 57 years, sons Don, Jr.,
(Sharleen) Bickford, and Dale Bickford, sister-in-law Dorothy
Bickford of Seattle and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 6pm Tuesday
at the Church of Christ, 10th St West and Alderson.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Don, and Dale,
I apologize for not making the service. I was planning on being there,
and was just doing a little farming when I came in to get ready, I found
it was 5:45, and I didn't want to arrive late. Don was one of the
special people, a true good person. I appreciated all the help he gave
me, and always enjoyed our meetings . I thank all of you and him for
being friends.
