Walter James Setera
Walter James Setera, 94 died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at St. Benedicts Health Center in Dickinson, North Dakota.
Walter was born April 5, 1914 in Wibaux County to John and Elizabeth Setera. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and four sisters.
In 1945 he moved to Billings with his parents where he worked as a pin setter and did yard work. Later he moved to Dickinson, North Dakota.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson and the Eagles Lodge. Walter was an avid bowler, winning many trophies as a senior citizen. He also did a lot of volunteer work.
He had resided at St. Benedicts Health Center for the last five years.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Cecelia Nix of College Place, Washington and Nettie Bradley of the Minnesota Masonic Care Center, Bloomington, MN and many, many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of St. Benedicts who helped care for him and make his last years comfortable.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Following cremation he will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery.
