David Jasper Ridgway
David Jasper Ridgway Jr. passed away peacefully at home in Billings on January 16, 2010 at the age of 91. David was born March 27, 1918 to Eliza Marguarite “Maggie” (Boyd) Ridgway and David J. Ridgway in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. David graduated from Bartlesville High School. He was drafted in 1940 into the Army and served 4 years in the 36th Infantry in North Africa and Europe.
After being discharged in 1945, David was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company in Houston. David married Betty L. Hays on May 5, 1946. After working for Phillips in Houston, Wichita, KS, and Casper, WY, David and Betty moved to Billings in 1952, where he was self-employed as an Oil and Gas Lease Broker until retirement.
David and Betty adopted David Glen in 1956. David was a member of the Yellowstone Country Club and was an avid golfer. He loved gardening and was especially proud of his tomato plants.
David is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David G. and Tammi Ridgway of Billings, and his grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew, who were very special to him. He is also survived by various nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Yellowstone Country Club. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
