Dale Wetzel


 

Dale Wetzel passed into the arms of his Savior on Feb. 25, 2010.

He was born in Zap, N.D., on Sept. 29, 1925, to Harry and Francis Wetzel and was the eldest of four brothers, Donald, Robert and Jim. He enlisted in the Navy and served in World War II and the Korean War, and retired from the Naval Reserve as a lieutenant. He married his wife of 63 years, Thelma, in Jacksonville, Fla. Dale taught school in Broadview and coached sports. He was postmaster in Broadview and he retired from the postal inspection service.

Dale has three children, Donna (Jay) Braunling, Terry (Lori) and Greg (Claudine). Dale also has seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Faith Evangelical Church, 3145 Sweetwater Drive, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.

Dad, enjoy your golf game. We hear the greens in heaven are great.

His family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice and the Vintage Suites at Grand Park for the loving care they provided for our dad. Memorials can be sent to Rocky Mountain Hospice or Faith Evangelical Church.
